I have a collection of antique primers that all came from the same family....the Whitney family of Scottville, Kentucky.
This is an original copy of Swinton's Talking with The Pencil, published in 1898. The book would have been used most likely in a one room school. How interesting! 2024
This book is in extraordinary shape, especially considering age, 100 plus. The front cover has some small "nibbles" and a few darkened spots. Otherwise, this book is very clean. No marks or writing found in the book or any tears. No loose pages, with spine in mint condition. I have been unable to actually find an antique copy of this book on the internet. There are plenty of modern reprints, but no old books. a rare treasure.
