A fine art reproduction of an original 11x14 ink drawing on mixed media paper. This reproduction is professionally printed on fine art watercolor paper. Why did I choose this type of paper? Watercolor paper is usually thick and the medium texture of this particular paper adds a nice touch to closer reflect the qualities of the original. Each reproduction will be signed, dated (according to month and year it was printed), and titled. This is an open edition reproduction. I would recommend getting this custom framed but if you're trying to save money, you can easily buy a mat and frame from your local frame store (I usually go to Michael's and use their on-going coupons). I would HIGHLY recommend bringing the reproduction with you when shopping, that way you won't be disappointed when you get home and realize, "hey that's not the right size!"
- Paper Size: 11"x 14" Image Size: 1/4” border around edges (total image a bit smaller than 11x14)
- Fine art watercolor paper
- Signed, Dated (according to print date), and Titled
What inspired the original artwork?
Another drawing using combined photo references from Sktchy. When I began the drawing it was just a sketch, messing around with line work. The first figure (at the top right) came out well so I decided to browse more photo references for inspiration. I came across a boy looking up at a mural with wings behind him. I worked from that and designed the rest from there. I have recurring concepts that move in and out of my head from time to time. This happens when I think about things in my attempts to figure out our existence. “None of us are special, all of us already are.” Every now and then I find myself trying to find the commonalities between me and the general public. As much as I try to convince myself that “Ok, so I am normal,” it never really works like that. In the process, I actually find that I'm more different than everyone else. I dislike it because I want to relate and “be normal” like everyone else but IT NEVER WORKS LIKE THAT. Because in the end, we're all equally different in our own unique ways. So, in the end, instead of 2024 feeling miserable about my existence, I remember my goals and I use my differences as leverage in the journey of reaching them. What is my specialty? Being me, as God intended.
