Product code: French 2024 baldric circa 1660 - 1680
This is a real leather baldric based on examples pictured in Equipements Militaires by Michel Petard. There is also an example of this baldric in a 1660s painting by Adam Frans van der Meulen.
It features a large brass spectacle type buckle and two leather loops to hold the weapon. The front strap 2024 gets wider towards the bottom so that it protects the clothing of the person wearing it from the hilt rubbing against them. The leather is hand dyed to your required colour.
It is suitable for re-enactment, theatre or LARP costumes.
