This is a large silver plated water pitcher by Meriden Brothers 2024 Company from 1868. For being 152 years old, this piece is in remarkable condition. If it could only talk... It does have some dents and the knob on the lid is pushed down a little. It does appear to have a crack on the inside but does not seem to leak water. The design on the sides is very detailed and elaborate down to the flock of birds on the landscape stamp in the middle of the design. It has been cleaned but I somehow felt bad removing all the patina as I felt it adds so much to the charm of this piece.
