Multimedia with handprinted linocut and layered washi collage 2024 on canvas board

This one of a kind original multimedia artwork is made with off cuts from my handprinted linocut prints and my collection of gorgeous scraps of Japanese washi papers and other ephemera. This work is a collage on a canvas board 12” x 16” (30.5 cm by 40.6 cm). It features my portrait of marine geologist and cartographer Marie Tharp and my hand 2024 carved and printed geological map from my portrait of geologist Alice Wilson on layered, translucent washi.
