2024 Homemade Fall/Autumn rag quilt - Pie!
Fall colors/weather always goes with pie! Living in the southern states, sometimes we have to create our own autumn colors. With this large rag quilt throw, you have the entire season covered for decorating! This simple decoration makes you feel the autumn crispness in your home (even if the weather doesn't agree).
Made with premium, 100% cotton flannel, this quilt will be warm, soft and durable. I use two layers of flannel so the quilt is not too heavy for the warm southern states. Even in cooler climates, this blanket keeps the warmth in because of the double flannel. I sew my seams a half inch, and cut them very closely to produce the best fringe. Unlike other rag quilts, the design is shown on both sides of the blanket (see on the last picture).
I will wash and dry the quilt a minimum of three times to start the ragging process. Machine wash and dry cool, dry low to preserve these beautiful autumn colors.
