Woodcut print 2024 of artist with sketchbook / black and white prints

This handmade print is an original woodblock print.

Printing by hand is a slow process! After drawing my design, the image is carved into wood using chisels and gouges. Once the carving is complete, ink is rolled onto the surface of the block. Next, paper is placed on top of the block, and I use a wooden spoon to apply pressure, forcing the ink onto the paper. The result is the 2024 reverse image printed on paper.
