Plays and functions as it should, batter box is clean, has one broken battery tab (see pic) selling as parts or repair with no return.. the reason being is that 2024 an 8 track tape uses a pressure sponge to keep the tape pressed against the head of the player, this sponge deteriorates and causes not only tape damage but damages the mechanics of the player, so unless you have a new tape sponge or a tar that isn't dry rotten it will most likely damage your tape and this unit.
