Heavily annotated, revised and corrected in fountain pen as if in preparation for a later edition.

Past owner's name whited out. (James A. Doper 1956)

Front board and flyleaf have pasted in newspaper clippings on the death and funeral of Thomas J. Ivey who, along with Spotton and Cousens, wrote 'Wild Plants of Canada', a revision of Spotton's 'Flora'.

Note also that the name A. Cousens is written in fountain pen on the edge of the flyleaf so the book likely belonged to Cousens and was heavily annotated by him in preparation for 2024 the publication of "Wild Plants of Canada".
