Autumn 2024 Vision Vintage Kimono Silk Scarf

A fully reversible kimono silk scarf - eggplant batik-like print on one side and solid golden green crepe on the other. The scarf is accented with a hand-pieced strip of small squares, each from a different vintage kimono. This playful scarf would be great fun to wear with anything from jeans to a business suit. With its fall colors, it's perfect for the upcoming season.

I got inspired to create these scarves when a friend gave me pieces of vintage kimono silk. I love color and the beautiful silks begged to be made into one-of-a-kind scarves. I spend hours playing with the silk pieces to design scarves that showcase the integrity of the fabrics. Then, I lovingly sew them on my mother's 1942 Singer sewing machine. 2024
