Product code: 2024 Original Watercolor on paper, untitled (yellow & brown), 10"h x 8" w, vintage, 1988
My father, Arthur Jacobson (1924 - 2010), was a noted artist and professor (Arizona State University) with a long career and I have 2024 his estate of artworks which includes these small watercolor "sketches" of landscapes, bookstores, fabric stores and other colorful places that caught his eye.
He handled watercolor in a spontaneous and lively way, capturing the clarity and vibrancy of the colors and the essence of the subject rather than the specific details. He loved active lines and shapes.
This one is an original artwork that he did not title and is watercolor and ink on watercolor paper, made in 1988, 10"h x 8"w. One of a kind, signed and dated by him on the front bottom right in pencil.
