Many of the drawings were made by the author, first-hand, as he observed and commented upon Australia's unique wildlife. The boards of our copy are bumped and worn at the extremities. The cloth is wrinkled across the rear board and spine. The joints are a bit weak. The endpapers have been professionally replaced and the hinges reinforced. The binding is still a bit shaken, however, although nothing is loose. Some foxing throughout. Overall, a fair copy. Hardcover.
