Original Painting from Haiti Everyday Life Celebrated Haitian Naive Art 23 3/4”x 11 3/4” Handmade Hand Painted Happy Colorful Ayiti Village (MP1)
Original folk art from the Artibonite Valley in Haiti. What a treasure this painting is! It depicts a glimpse into a day in a small village in Haiti! Thatched roof and corrugated metal roof homes are unique and colorful. These little cottages are representative of the homes where folks live in the 2024 area in Haiti where we have our office and education center. Even with the smallest of dwellings, happiness comes through in the bright colors and patterns. There is more detail in this painting than you can imagine- the people in their colorful clothing, foreground plants, mid-ground tropical vegetation with towering trees, and the distant background with hills and a cloud filled blue sky. Please view all the photos to see a little bit of life in Haiti. This hand painting scene is super charming and would make a truly special piece of art in your home. The 23 3/4” by 11 3/4” painting was hand painted by Marc Pierre. Painting was painted on a primed piece of fabric with acrylic paints.
All of the art in our shop is hand made by artists that we know in the Artibonite Valley in Haiti. This remote region does not have a venue to sell its art, so we bring paintings and other arts and crafts back to our home in Connecticut where people have the opportunity to enjoy the talent of these artists in Haiti. We have opened this Etsy shop with the hopes of selling even more of the artists' works to folks around the country and the globe. All proceeds (100% of your purchase price) go directly to the artists. For many of them, this is their sole occupation and this income provides for them and their families. Thank you for your support!
