7 Hand Embroidered Tea Towels - Vintage Aunt Martha's Pattern "Colonial Girl" - Chores/Days of the Week - 30 x 28 Inches - 100% Cotton 2024
My grandmother taught me to embroider. I learned on tea towels. I still 2024 love embroidering tea towels and reminiscing about my grandmother and countless other grandmothers who took bits of thread and hundreds of hours of work to make the mundane pretty.
I adore vintage Aunt Martha's Iron On Transfers. My grandmother used them, too! These towels were made using Aunt Martha's Set 3553 - Colonial Girl. There are seven towels, and one of them is marked Sunday. But the other days of the weeks are listed by name, they are listed by chore! The towels are Sunday, Wash Day, Iron Day, Market Day, Cleaning Day, Bake Day, and Gardening Day.
The towels themselves are made of 100% cotton and they are pre-washed. They measure about 28 inches x 30 inches. They are large, and absorbent.
These are just so cute! They are just what you need in your kitchen. These are hand stitched, with love. They make a great present for folks that are moving into a new home.
