2024 Antique Railroad lantern - Rustic home decor

This is a wonderful antique, Dietz No. 2 Blizzard lantern from either the late 1800's or very early 1900's. What makes this one so unique is that it has a switch on the front, which after much searching, I have not been able to find another like this.

The bottom appears to have a circle cut into it and perhaps a switch was put in place during that time. Currently there is a votive candle in the place where the wick should be. There is also a large crack in the glass on one side. Still, this is an incredible piece of rustic history and would make a wonderful display piece. You could also do what someone else did and light it up with a candle.
