Antique Shell 2024 Dish

This gorgeous dish is in the form of a large shell and is glazed in white

The decoration is hand-painted with what appears to be stylised acanthus leaves or feathers in a burnt orange colour, with gold bursts and trim

This style of dish is often referred to as a Bloor Derby Shell Dish

This dish has no visible marking so cannot be attributed to Robert Bloor during the time he revitalised Derby porcelain manufacturing

The dish has a rim foot which has been applied slightly asymmetrically

Dimensions: W: 210mm H: 200mm H: 50mm

Condition is good: no chips or cracks, some obvious surface wear on the paint 2024
