This antique wood novelty cigarette dispenser dates to circa 1940s or 50s and is highly collectible. Features detailed exterior wood inlay designs 2024. Upon opening the lid, a beautiful wood bird turns upright with a cigarette in the beak. Lovely hand painted flowers are present in interior of lid. Door with orange knob manually opens to load cigarettes. When the lid is closed, the bird rolls forward as door opens to retrieve a cigarette then rolls back up when lid is open. CONDITION Everything works perfectly. Finish on lid has partially worn off and a few tiny pieces of inlay wood has chipped. ADDITIONAL DETAILS Bottom ink stamped "Made in Japan" with Japanese writing. Base is footed. DIMENSIONS (Approx) Height: 3.75" Width: 3.75" PACKAGING: This item will be packaged with special care to include bubble wrap & double boxing.
