Cranberry glass candle holder or vase appears to have a polished pontil mark on its bottom and a few bubbles, suggesting the glass was mouth blown. The three brass feet are hand-worked. A pair of brass bands, with club and heart pattern, most 2024 likely machine-pierced, complete the vase rim and base at top and bottom.
Looking at the crisscross design on the glass you can see the lines vary slightly in width and are not exactly straight when you look closely, suggesting the glass was hand worked.
This piece is beautiful and raises the spirits with its color simply sitting on a shelf or table, lit by sunlight, candle light, or artificial light. Great gift for anyone who appreciates vintage glass for display and use.
