Shabby Farmhouse Antique Lunch Box Style Tin, Children Playing with 2024 Cat, Red Green, Butterfly, French Country Decor Lunchbox Pail SIDE WORN

Absolutely wonderful artwork decorates this shabby antique lunch pail style tin. Children are shown playing with a cat on the lid and both long sides of the base, and butterflies decorate both ends. Circa 1910s. It could work as an antique Christmas decoration because of the coloring! This is a harder to find tin, and this example is a bit shabby, and ONE SPINE IS SPLIT. See below. But it's a treasure for farmhouse and French Country decors. Lid is hinged. About 7.5” by 5” at very top, by 4” tall, excluding handles.

CONDITION:
Some areas of wear, scratches and scuffs, handling marks and normal vintage soiling, small and minor 2024 dents and dings, some early rust here and there, etc.
•SHABBY AND WORN IN AREAS. A rustic, farmhouse look overall.
•One area of lid edge and ONE END OF BASE VERY WORN.
•BACK SPINE IS SPLIT all the way down. It is tied together with a little thread right now, not sure how strong this is.
•HANDLES WORN, RUSTY, BENT, one has small SPLIT.
•More noticeable dent on lid at front edge. Some other dents and dings, a bit knocked around.
•Dark patina inside, some early rust.
•Darkening patina on bottom.
•Hinge is loose, a little WONKY. Handles well attached, move freely.
•Opens/closes fine.

The tin is empty.

No longer for food use. Any props not included.
