Vintage Doves Couple 2024 Wedding Cake Topper in porcelain satin white. For Wedding, Anniversary, bride

In the 1960's my grandmother bought this mold and never poured it. Her intention was to make porcelain wedding cake toppers. Now, 50 years later, I've created a wonderful pair of doves to adorn a cake.

Porcelain has a lovely color and these birds highlight that with their transparent matte glaze. They have been fired to 2200 degrees and are food safe.

I love white cakes but am happy to make these in any color you suggest. I can investigate colors and figure out what works for you. Allow 3 weeks minimum for custom orders.

The photo with the birds on a round platform show the 6" cake round example that my local cake shop said was standard. They look lovely on that size. I think these large birds would also look great on a square cake.

Each dove measures 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide.

Technical notes:
~ All ceramics are made using slip cast molds. The majority are from the 1960's.
~ Ceramics are glazed on the bottom but do have small marks from required stilts in the kiln process.
~ Pottery items must sit directly on a kiln shelf and are not glazed on the bottom.
~ Multiple glazes are used in our creations. We use only food safe glazes unless otherwise noted.
~ Items are made from either low fire (cone 05) clays or mid range (cone 5) clays.
