Repurposed from a vintage Four Square/Lantern quilt in soft lavender, pink, blue, and green. The quilt lining is the bright white The modern binding is an assortment of minty darling calicos. It closes with two salvaged vintage buttons in teal.
This piece is hand pieced and hand quilted. It It is light weight, with a low loft. The original quilt front and back were in good condition. It has a soft hand and flowy drape and holds its structure in terms of movement.
This piece is light weight and would be perfect for fall outings worn over a sweet dress or a comfy T.
It is sized infant 12-18 months.
Please note, this item is made from an antique quilt and the fabric reflects this in both its beauty and its imperfections. Some quilts are more loved than others and need repairs and mending before they can find new purpose. I attempt to provide mending solutions in areas were the structural integrity of the garment is at stake. In other areas I prefer to allow the original condition if the quilt to shine through.
This jacket has been carefully pre-washed but I recommend spot cleaning in the future, if necessary. 2024
