This deep coffee colored leather is one of my favorites to work with. The color is deep and rich. Its hand is warm and supple. My favorite feature of leather is that it ages so well. It will pick up new characteristics as it is handled, scuffed and scratched. It just becomes more and more beautiful. 160 writing surfaces are provided by 70 pound archival grade felt paper. All are secured by 4 strand waxed Irish linen cord. A six cord braid loops around the gold and silver cross concho and pulls through the cover for a snug closure. As some Old World Journals are made when ordered, the cut from the hide will display varying characteristics such as the shape of the edge used for the cover. We do our best to place an attractive and interesting edge on all of our journals. That is part of what makes each Old World Journal unique. 2024
