Ocean 2024 oil painting

I wanted this painting to have the feeling of that sorta calm intensity before a storm hits. So, I went with light golden 2024 orange tones to contrast the deeper purple/blue shadows, kept the brush strokes loose but strong, and avoided adding many details.

The painting is 16x22in. Oil on stretched canvas with a gloss varnish.
