How about a unique watercolor portrait of a family member or friend?
This is how I go about creating these pieces:
First I need a good photo, preferably taken without a flash so that the shadows come across in a natural way.
Once we've agreed on the picture we want to create, I go to work starting with a pencil drawing then watercolour.
I'll email a photo when it's complete and can make a few changes. I do my best to capture the qualities of the photo, so it's really important that this image is what you'd like to see in watercolor.
It will be painted in sepia tints on thick 300g/140lbs paper with professional watercolor, ensuring the colours stay vibrant for years.
It measures approximately: 15 x 20 cm (6" x 8"), though this of 2024 course is negotiable. It will be unmatted and unframed.
