Product code: C. 2024 1860 STERLING NY Serving Spoon
2024 This is a beautifully designed Sterling Serving Spoon, thought to be from the mid 1800's. A nice usable weight of 1.8 troy oz. and measuring 8 1/2" long with the bowl measuring 3" by 1 3/4" and the width of the handle being 1 1/8". The handle has a lovely design with triple monogram which appears to be a scripted TBH. The only marks on the back is a name, S.P. Squire. Seth P. Squire was a silver maker, in business with his brother, 1845-1881, from N.Y., N.Y. This spoon would appeal to those who still appreciate uniqueness, quality and design done at a time before mass production, and when things were actually made to last forever.
