Vintage Rosenthal Covered Serving Bowl Gala Brown Pattern Gold Edge Taupe 2024 Band

We love the sleek look of mid-century modern design, and this covered porcelain serving bowl is a perfect example of it.

The bowl is from Rosenthal's famous Model 2000 line, which was created for the company by industrial designer Raymond Loewy in 1954. The Model 2000 line was created in various colors, and the pattern you see here, called Gala Brown, features a stunning taupe band and gold edges. Made of the finest German porcelain, it is translucent when held up to the light.

The bowl is 3 ¼ inches tall and about 9 ¼ inches in diameter across the top. There are a few light scratches in the taupe border of the bowl, but the piece is in otherwise excellent shape, without any chips or cracks. Please see the pictures for the best idea of condition.
