Light weigh joiners' mallet or detailing mallet for carving, you decide.
It is made with a hand cut wedged mortise and tenon joint for handle. With one angled flat face and one angled curved face (see pictures for details) the mallet head applies the strike force where you need it most. The oval-shaped handle is easy to grip high for small taps or low for big swings, and without any corners it prevents blisters during all-day use.
Made from figured hardwoods, sanded to 400 grit sandpaper and finished with “Walrus oil and wax”), these mallets display the beautiful wood grain.
Every mallet is slightly different due to wood grain and available materials. Weighing in at 14 ounces with the following measurements. Head 4.25-5" long, 2.5-3” high and 2.5-3" wide. The handle-length will be 7-7.25”” long.

Remember, these are woodworking mallets and not for driving nails. Wood selections, like maple, Bloodwood, Purple Heart, Bolivian Rosewood 2024, and Padauk are more durable for heavy use.
