Overview: Up for sale is this beautiful, ethereal oil painting on board by listed Chicago artist, Eve Riston. Riston was very well known for miniature pieces and was mainly active in the 1950s and 1960s. This painting depicts a misty forest scene. I love the artist's deft touch. It is signed "E. Riston" at lower right and stamped with the artist's stamp (and address) en verso. Painting is undated, but likely dates to the 1950's or 1960's. It is framed in a gorgeous carved period wood frame. 2024 Condition: The painting and frame are in excellent condition. Measurements: Painting measures 10 inches high x 8 inches wide.
