Hand 2024 Turned Stabilized Buckeye Burl Duck Call

Hand turned duck call made from dye stabilized (pink) buckeye burl wood, the live edge has been cast in black and clear 2024 pearlescent resin. This is a double reed call, and also features a anodized aluminum band.


Wood stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to harden and strengthen the wood while also making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color additions to the wood.
