2024 I call this one Shelby, in honor of the famous Peaky Blinders crime family it was inspired by. It is big, roomy, puffier Bakerboy, next step up from Peaky style, presented in other fabrics in my store.
You can now choose between two versions of GREY HERRINGBONE WOOL, back by the popular demand.
Grey Herringbone #2 wool has smaller stripe pattern.

Cover picture shows Shelby style in Grey Herringbone wool #1 in size 23.25".
Razor may not be included but the Razor key chain may be. :)

This hat has eight piece-cut crown that is a little taller in the back, about 10" in diameter and has a nicely padded Black watch tartan lining.
Water-repellent wool works best in a drizzle, and the brim offers UV protection on a sunny day.
Buckram brim filler is Bontex, cardboard-like millinery material.
Head size finished with 1.5" millinery grosgrain.
Self-covered hand-made dime button on top. Feel free to request other size buttons: penny, nickel or quarter are available, any other numismatic treasures TBD.

*You may notice the difference in structure and top-stitching between my hats and the Peaky Blinders hats you see on TV. This is how I make most of my hats, because of my background in high-end headwear production. If you prefer less finished, more authentic look, send me a note and I will use less stitching, more steaming, by your request.

2. Grey herringbone #2, - Dark Harris Tweed is a great substitute!
3. Brown Herringbone: it is much finer cashmere blend now, not the original coarse tweed. Ask for photos
4. Charcoal Plaid wool, ask for photos.
5. Black&White Herringbone Harris Tweed, classic, see it in my other listing as Peaky style.
6. Black cotton Moleskin, almost suede-like brushed cotton.
7. Navy Moleskin (brushed cotton, more stiff than the black one)
8. Navy Storm Velvet, looks almost black.
9. Black Cashmere/Wool blend, high quality, distinctive and luxurious.
10. Navy Herringbone Wool, very good color alternative to #1 and #2.

This world-famous authentic hand-spun fabric from Scotland will make you fall in love with your hat forever, no matter if you are into colorful tartans or classic vintage tweed, Extra $40 that you pay via a special listing will cover sufficient amount of fabric and delivery from UK (add 10-14 days), subject to currency exchange rate.
I have more choices in a variety of colors and textures, feel free to give me your preferences. If you let me know what color/texture you prefer, I can send you photos or even actual swatches. You can send me your own fabric: I need only about 1/4 of a yard.


Due to the present high volume of orders, please allow 4 weeks for production, after confirming your order and before shipping.
For US orders, First Class shipping is included.
Choosing Priority shipping will not shorten the time needed to make your hat. Only RUSH FEE of $35 ensures your order will be pushed ahead of my current production list.

BOX SHIPPING:
If you want your hat to be shipped in a box rather than poly mailer, send me a message.
For the last five years I have been using premium 3.15mil. poly mailers to ship my hats. In January 2021, an Australian customer reported that there was a tear on his package upon delivery. There was no damage done to the hat or even to the tissue paper it was wrapped in. Learning from this customer's reportedly unpleasant experience, I am offering to ship your hat in a box. For US customers, additional cost should be paid via PayPal or Venmo, for International First Class shipping I will cover the difference. Please don't expect anything fancy, the box most likely will be recycled Amazon packaging. I may design my own package if the future if I can find a sustainable solution.
