2024 Vintage Barasch Sylmar Boxed Silver Tone Handmade Small Fork Set - Colourful Semi Precious Polished Gemstone Handle - Made in Brazil - 1970s

A vintage complete and rare Barasch Sylmar Set of 6 elegant two pronged Hors d'oeuvres or Olive two pronged forks together in the original cutlery box. Also can be used as party forks, cocktail forks and pickle forks. The wonderful hand crafted forks have twisted stems and a colourful genuine semi precious polished gem stone at the end of each handle. C 1970s. A great addition to your home bar or party. Or just for everyday use.

The silver metal is still as shiny as the day this set was made. The shiny gemstones are gorgeous.

The original blue box has a stamp “Garfinho Hilton” on the back and great Retro packaging saying "Sylmar Brasil”.

Sylmar products have been manufactured in Brazil since 1967. The forks are made from a high quality metal, plated with galvanized nickel, and like stainless steel in that they will not oxidise or corrode when in contact with vinegar and cakes. The blue gift box is lined purple baize with special cutlery holders.

Each Sylmar Brazil fork is 11.75 cm (4 1/2 in) long. The boxed cake fork set weighs 90 g (3.1 oz).

The Brazilian Sylmar forks with the genuine gemstone handles are in with no dents or rust. They have been well looked after. The set appears to be unused although is a pre owned item. The box is in great condition. Please view photos for condition.

A wonderful complete set of high quality forks. Great to bring these out. The semi precious stones bring extra kudos to the set. Ideal for period homes and country kitchens. Don't save for best.

In 1967 two Romanian immigrants to Brazil, Ines Leda Barasch Donati and Victorian Barasch J, used their metalworking experience and an appreciation of Brazilian natural resources to begin making cutlery and skewers under the company name Barasch Sylmar.
