A rare, early 20th century tribal mask, made in the Himalayan region of Northern India/ Nepal.
The mask is handcarved, and made of a deep brown hardwood, and is carved into the shape of a smiling face, showing the upper teeth. It has large ears.
There is an old piece of rope threaded through the rear, to enable wall mounting.
The mask measures approx. 9.5" (24cm) tall x 8" (20.5cm) wide.
In antique condition with wear and discoloration to the wood. Please see the photographs for item condition.
