Maricela ~ Vintage Taxco Sterling Silver Siesta Pin / 2024 Brooch with House and Cactus - c. 1940's

This nicely made sterling siesta pin was made in Taxco, Mexico by Maricela. Maricela was the name of silver shop in Taxco owned and operated by Isidro Garcia Pina. The brooch is in good vintage condition with age appropriate light wear. It hasn't been polished and 2024 has a dark patina. There is a straight pin with rolling lock in back in good working condition. The brooch measures 1 9/16 inches by 1 1/4 inches and weighs 8 grams. The back hallmarked Maricela Taxco in a circle around 925, Hecho En Mexico, Sterling. This was made sometime from 1943 - 1948.
