Terra Cotta Handform Vase - Holder - Kintsugi Repaired | Kintsukuroi | Original Art | 18 Karat Gold Finish | 2024 Wabi Sabi | Sustainable Objects
Kintsugi ("golden joinery" ) is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, embracing its flaws and highlighting its imperfections. Using golden resin, Kintsugi artists highlight the object's cracks and imperfections and honor its history; transforming a once-broken, useless piece into a 2024 priceless piece of art. It is also known as Kintsukuroi ("golden repair").
The Kintsugi philosophy is similar to wabi sabi, a Zen state of mind that accepts that the world is full of imperfection. Kintsugi is the process of respecting, embracing and celebrating an object's history, despite its modern-world "flaws."
This one-of-a-kind art piece has been created using the Kintsugi crack method. It will never be replicated.
*Due to the golden resin and gold finish, all Kintsugi items are for decoration only.*
