This beautiful and highly detailed micro mosaic pin is likely from the 1930-1940s, given the safety pin clasp closure. This lovely brooch is gold toned with micro mosaic, made of tiny glass pieces, as an insert creating a miniature work of art. Colors in the mosaic are Green, Pink, Mauve, Red, Black, White, Yellow, Orange, Cornflower Blue and Sage Green.
Marked Italy on the back.
This special brooch is in very good pre-owned condition. The back shows wear with marks to the finish. There are no missing or chipped pieces of glass that I was able to see.
The pin is approximately 1 3/4" by 1 3/8"
