Punk style, graffiti and a provocative dress intertwine as my next art piece. This piece started by a revealing dress with braided detail as a blueprint. Ideas kept piling up and so I decided to create the backdrop, what is called punk graffiti. I thought I was making it up but it does exist. I used newspaper yarn which was 2024 very suitable for the graffiti-esque features. I wanted to incorporate the punk style color palette and almost asymmetrical cut to the Fringe. And there you go! Yes, it has this “all over the place” kinda vibe, but with what I brainstormed on my inspiration board, I'm happy it came out the way it supposed to be.
