Falling 2024 Leaves

Falling leaves was my second stripped glass piece. I wanted to depict leaves falling off a tree and the leaves on the tree changing the beautiful colors we see in the fall on the east coast. I was very excited to see how well it came out of the kiln.
Glass is cut in strips and fused together, then is kiln formed into a shape. Piece can be displayed with stand or can be hung.
This piece is curved and can be hung or placed on a stand as shown in one of the pictures. Stand is a wooden stand I bought at the Container store.
Process of strip cutting glass takes more time then layering glass but the results are exciting. 2024
