An antique leather bound book with three 18th century plays. It measures 6" x 3 3/4".



"The Man of the World" by Charles Macklin, "Published by the Longworths at the Dramatic Repository, Shakspeare [sic] Gallery" in 1811.



"The Provoked Husband - Or, A Jouney To London" by Sir John Vanbrugh & C. Cibber, Esq. "Published by D Longworth at the Dramatic Repository, Shakspeare [sic] Gallery" in 1812.



"A Cure For The Heart-Ache" by Thomas Morton, Esq. "Published by D Longworth at the Dramatic Repository, Shakspeare [sic] Gallery" in 1813. This play is included twice, in its entirety.



The book is still intact and complete but the front cover is in danger of falling off. The binding is good. There are two small holes in the spine. The pages are tanned but intact overall, one page has a torn corner and another has a small piece missing on 2024 top. There are small age discolorations and tiny dark dots on the front and back inside cover and on the outer edges of the pages.
