SACRED ANOINT PERFUME Oil. Historically, the anointing ritual was symbolic and the sense of smell was considered highly esteemed by deity. Frankincense and myrrh are delicately entwined with Bergamot, Cistus Labdaniferous, Jasmine, Rose and Sandalwood, in this most precious of florientals.

I use vintage Sandalwood from Mysore, India aged 20 years. Sandalwood becomes more voluptuous and creamy as it ages. Sandalwood (santalum album) from India is not legally available for over the past 6 years.It has been over sourced and it takes 12 to 25 years for a sandalwood tree to mature in order to distill. I was fortunate to stock up. There are other species of sandalwood (santalum spicata etc.) from New Zealand, Australia,and other countries.
