A Gorgeously Sweet Antique Folk Art American Muscovy Wooden Decoy 2024 Duck.

What a darling Decoy Duck. I believe this is an American Muscovy Duck and it is so beautifully hand carved and painted.
It is light almost to the point of being hollow but it could just be made with very lightweight wood like Balsa. It is so charming, I've never seen anything like it.
It has paint loss and a lovely worn patina with chippy wood and some cracks on its beak and around the base. The colors are worn that would once have been strong White, Brown, Blue and small patches of Green. The face is divine and wonderfully detailed with beautiful painted Yellow eyes and almost electric Blue patches on the cheeks and head. The Red beak is unique with the bump on top- very distinctive of the Muscovy Ducks of America.
All in all this I think piece is just stunning and it is very decorative.

A wonderful addition to a Decoy Duck collection. Very pretty and very different and it styles effortlessly. A great gift for Christmas or for the person who has everything just not one of these!
