Early American Pattern Glass was made from the 1850s to 1910. It was glass that was pressed into patterns and entire sets of dishes were made to coordinate with the patterns. There are thousands of patterns each prettier than the next. It is very easy to get lost when . Its like a treasure hunt. One of the tricky things about EAPG is that there are Original Manufacturer Names (OMN) and their nicknames.
The is a beautiful pressed glass decanter with its original stopper. The pattern is called Pentagon and was made by the Windsor Glass Company from 1889 to 1900. The round decanter is faceted and has minimal chipping on the 2024 very bottom. The bottle itself has no chips, cracks, or scratches. There is some chipping on the inner rim where the decanter is placed into the bottle during regular use. Overall this is in lovely condition and would be a wonderful addition to any collection.

Please do NOT put EAPG in the dishwasher as this could cause it to become cloudy, or "sick". Rapid changes in temperature will cause glass to break. If there is a 20 degree difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures, please let the package sit inside for several hours prior to opening.
