Straight away from this lovely shell cameo lady's bobbed hairstyle and the geometric patterned frame, you can tell this is an Art Deco cameo from the roaring 1920s! The lady is a flapper! The frame has both a clasp to wear as a brooch/pin and a bale on top so it can be worn as a pendant.
The frame is 1 ¼ inches tall and just under an inch wide in the middle. It appears to be brass. The clasp is still in good working order.
The lovely shell cameo is in very good vintage condition except for a hairline crack on the edge just above her forehead. She also has an 2024 indentation from carving in the edge by the back of her neck (see photos).
This Art Deco shell flapper cameo would make a great addition to your vintage jewelry collection. She is priced at a bargain due to her hairline crack and carving indentation.
