This coat has a couple things going for it...1). it is made by Curlee Clothes. Great stuff in my opinion. 2). From retailer, Ferrell's in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Until this last year, Ferrell's was the last of the mid-century downtown Men's clothiers in IF. Operating out of 417 W. Broadway since 1950, the former J.C. Penney building is currently undergoing 'renovation's' for god-only-knows-what.
Light enough that it is perfect for spring, fall, and/or mild winter wear. Shadow plaid in pleasing, yet unusual, color combination. Black with a pattern of Olive and Oxblood (almost Brown) lines that vary in width, so as to give the appearance of fading away. Not easy to image the color contrast. Has the hand of a quality flannel shirt like a Pendleton. Curlee can be hard to date b/c they were not a union house and therefore lack union labels.

Small 2 3/4" notched lapel w/ boutonniere. Soft shoulder with minimal padding for shape retention. Three (3) button fastening rolled to 2. Invisible stitch construction. Darted front. Three (3) buttons per cuff. Jetted hip pockets, 1 3/4" flaps. Single center tail vent. Half lined in a woven pattern Burgundy taffeta, including the sleeves. Two inside breast pockets.

Excellent condition. Shows minimal signs of previous wear, tail vent lining coming loose, otherwise flawless. 2024
