Hand knit scarf or shawlette using mohair yarns, two colors, on a large needle so the stitches are light and airy. One color was called Ruby and is a very jewel-toned red, and the other is a purple that gradates into different shades.
Almost square: total length is 54 inches by 60 inches (137 by 152 cm).
It has a very organic look and feel, with moments where stitching might have become inconsistent. It is also sheer, which is a very cool decorative factor. Mohair is probably the warmest of the animal fibers, so you can use this as a wrap over bare shoulders and still feel comfortable. It is Kid Mohair, when the fiber is at its softest (mohair can itch, so beware of that fact).
Fashion style is more casual, with lots of adaptability. It also looks great thrown over a favorite reading chair. 2024
