Wonderful velvet Vistorian purse with angles on the clasp.
There is a number of emblems and the number 800 and the word Italy, also it looks like a date of 1700 something, on the clasp. So I would say it is made in Italy, it is 800 silver and was made sometime in the 1700's. The lining is a silvery greengray. It has a mirrow that is snapped to the inside. It has one side pouch. The inside lining is frayed in places 2024 and there is a small hole as shown in the picture in the velvet of the purses body.One side has initials under the angle on one side of O.C.D.. It measures 9" for the body x 9 1/2" wide The handle adds another 7". There is fayed places in the velvet also.I also found a tiny spot of yellow paint.
Oh if this purse could speak what tells it would have to tell!
