There is nothing better than a flickering fire to warm your body and soul. The smell of an old wood stove or fireplace truly melts my heart. I love to sit near the fire til it feels like my clothes are hot as the sun then I turn around and let the flames warm the other side. I've spent my whole life doing this. As a child we would go gather sticks from the yard to help feed the fire. I sure wish we would have had a basket like this. Sure beats carrying them in your arms when it's cold! This gorgeous antique gathering basket is made of splint wood and sits on a sturdy wooden base. Perfect for racking up kindling for the fire or filling with newspapers and magazines next to your fireside chair. This would look Stunning in a farmhouse bathroom with rolled towels next to the soaker.
