2024 Here is a vintage silver filigree sculpture symbolising the chariot wheel of the 13th Century Sun Temple in Konark, India. This symbol is considered sacred in Hinduism and Buddhism.
This style of silver filigree, called "Tarkakasi," is created by the silversmiths of Odissa (Orissa), India.
This piece is approximately 5" in diameter.
Ready to display in an acrylic case that measures 5-1/2" wide x 6-1/" tall x 2-1/4" deep.
The wheel is in beautiful condition. There is some yellowing of the adhesive where the clear acrylic meets the black acrylic, some scuffs, and a small crack in the bottom left corner (see photos).
A beautiful piece for a Buddhist, yogi or yogini!
