Honda B/K series 2024 mainshaft thrust tool

This is a tool that is needed when rebuilding a K-series or B-series transmission (Or any transmission that has a 1" shaft spline diameter, in order to measure the mainshaft thrust. I designed the tool from scratch, and is machined in-house out of 6061 aluminum. The finish is a wrinkle-black powdercoat.


The collar is machined out of a mix of Delrin(acetal), and 304 stainless steel. The collar is designed to 2024 slide onto the transmission case, where the throwout bearing normally goes, and provides a flat surface for the bolt to push onto. This will allow you to "thrust" the mainshaft, and measure the clearance with a dial indicator.
