Shungite is a rare black stone that is made of 2024 up to 99 percent carbon. It comes from a 200 billion years old ancient rock formation that is only found in Shunga a village in Karelia, Russia. Shungite receives its healing powers from one of its elements called fullerenes which are a crystalline form of carbon and a major component of the gemstone.
