A high-quality sneaker made of cork. The lining and insole are made of sweat-regulating 2024 leather.
The material cork is obtained from the bark of the cork oak. For cork production, not a single tree has to be felled, the cork oak is only peeled. Peeling the cork trees does not have a negative impact on the natural development of the cork oak. A cork tree is first peeled at the age of 25. The bark then grows naturally and is only peeled every 9 years, up to 17 times in total.
We chose cork textile as a vegan leather alternative. Cork textile feels velvety soft. The textile is haptically comparable to supple suede. Due to the natural grain of the cork bark, each model is unique. Cork textile is also robust, water-repellent, odourless, anti-allergic and easy to clean. It can be cleaned with a clean cloth with a little gentle soap and water. Here, light wiping of the fabric is sufficient. For coarser dirt, you can also wash the cork of our vegan bags and wallets gently by hand.
